When I ask, all I get is "AR 600-20" or another one, but when I ask them to show me that, it isn't in there. |

Your information about the VFW in particular needs clarification. The VFW did not support the GI Bill in 1944. The GI Bill was written by, and passed by, The American Legion. We have the origional GI Bill in storage here at National Headquarters. The VFW, along with three other Veterans Service Organizations in 1944 wrote a letter |

| Comments: | Does anyone know how to locate someone in the army? I have lost contact with a dear family friend who was stationed out of the desert traing center in california about four years ago. His name was James Addy and wifes name was Phylis if it helps, I would very much appreciate anyone who could help. Think this might be a good topic for a new part of your website to locate family/friends in the army. Specially at time like this. |
