Exchange Assignments (commonly known as "StateSide Swaps") have been around for years, but were not available as an online resource until now. Here, you can submit your information, then browse the lists, arranged conveniently to see if you can find that "perfect match". Once you have submitted your information, a confirmation email will be sent to you to confirm the information you sent, and an email with your data will be sent to me. Using that data, I will import the info to my StateSide Swaps Database, then publish the various pages linked below, so that others may view your information. Email, mailing addresses and phone numbers are listed as well as other pertinent information, to enable quick communications when you find a match (when you submit your mailing address, a unit address will suffice. It is up to you if you want to use your actual home address and telephone number). When matches are completed, be sure to let me know so that I can remove the expired listings. Also, it was brought to my attention that I had left off certain posts and installations from my drop down boxes on the forms. If you find that the location you wish to select is not in the list, please send along an email to me at editor@thearmylink.iwarp.com. I truly appreciate the feedback and will make the correction as soon as I am notified. Make sure that you are fully aware of all guidance pertaining to Exchange Assignments. You will find the information in AR 614-200, Chapter 5-8, pg 29. If you don't have the regulation, you can easily find it on the USAPA Web Site at http://www.usapa.army.mil/. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the reg, but it's free and a link is available from the USAPA Web Site. It's worth your time to look up this info. Here's a bit more info I think you will find interesting and will help to round out your knowledge of StateSide Swaps and the correct procedures to follow. Check it out by clicking here. Thank you.
