REGULATIONS, REFERENCES, PUBLICATIONS, FORMS, ETC...

Inspector General Handbook....The IG is "the source" for the right answer to those nagging regulation interpretations. At this site, sponsored by the IG at Fort Leonardwood, you'll find an extensive reference. It's definitely worth the visit.........

Defense Special Reports Online....This site contains links to various reports which affect all members of the military. You'll find 'em covering just about every category, from EO issues to Women's History to articles about ribbons, and everything in between. There are also many links available to various military agencies. You'll definitely find some very interesting reading here. It's worth the visit..........

Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act....If you don't know what it's about, then you really need to check out this information. It's about one of the most important pieces of legislation affecting soldiers today. The first link provided takes you to the history of the Act. Click here to learn all of the details and click here to find out about the most recent revision made..........

The General Reimer Army Doctrine and Training Digital Library (ADTDL)...Another good source of information pertaining to doctrine and training. You'll find an extensive number of documents about ARTEP, MTP's, TC's, etc.......

ETM's Online....Are you in a bind looking for a TM that you don't seem to have? This site is within the LOGSA site (featured on my "Logistics" page), but deserved it's own link here. Many TM's are available for viewing without a password, but some have limited access. When you first enter the site, I suggest you submit for your password and logon ID right away. That way, you won't find yourself in a bind later on. Here's an additional link you'll find to be very useful, to a list of ETM's by number and what equipment each one covers. It's within the LOGSA site, but it's very difficult to find if you don't know where it is. You'll find it by clicking here. Enjoy.......

Total Army Developmental Counseling....We're all used to the old DA 4856.... that's right the counseling form. Whether you have been on the writing or receiving end, everyone is familiar with the old standard. Well, it's not the standard anymore. Take a look at this site and learn about the latest change to hit the streets on counseling.......

USAPA Home Page...Here you will find an extensive list of regulations, DA Pamphlets, etc...that you can download and view. You must have the IBM Library Viewer or Adobe Reader to use them, but links to the sites to download these programs are available. The same applies to the forms. They can be opened and used with FormFlow, PerFORM Pro, Adobe, JetForm and Novell InForm. If you do not have any of these programs, check with your unit Information Management Officer for help.

Regulations and Publications...This site is actually located within the USAPA Site, but I wanted to include it since it is a quick link to where you can download regulations to be viewed with the IBM Library Reader or Adobe Reader.

Forms...This site comes from the same location as the "Regulations and Publications" page just above, but it has just forms. Although all of the "forms" sites are good sources, this one is, in my opinion, the best one to start with.....

Publications Ordering System...This link takes you directly to the Publications Ordering page on the USAPA site. You must have a current publications account to use this feature.....

USAREC Forms...If you are in the Recruiting Command, you'll like this quick link......

Electronic Forms (sponsored by CECOM)...This link doesn't start you off with a fancy page. It's a "get-down-to-business" link that allows you to quickly find that particular DA or DD Form that you are looking for......

Department of Defense Forms...If you didn't find the DD Form you were looking for with the links just above this one, then check this one out...it will probably have what you want.

FORSCOM Publications and Forms...From this page, you can access both FORSCOM Regs and FORSCOM forms.

DoD Publications...This is a simple site which has links to various miltary branches and commands to download publications.

For those of you who are "die-hard" Microsoft Word users, a limited number of forms are available which are formatted to be used with Word. Here they are......MS Word Forms (sponsored by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers--Rock Island District) or MS Word Forms (sponsored by HQ USAREUR)

If you're looking for any publication which is labeled as TRADOC, then here are 3 links for you. For TRADOC Pamphlets, click here. For TRADOC Regulations click here. For TRADOC Supplements click here.

MILPER and SIDPER's-3 Messages...These messages are one of the best ways to stay on top of changes and messages being sent "to the field". MILPER messages are retained for a period of 2 years, so you can download at your leisure.......

Articles from the Adjutant General...Here are some handy articles for general knowledge about personnel issues.

Joint Doctrine Publications...Integration of all armed forces is a key concern for the top leadership. Here, you'll find established and emerging doctrine which regulates the manner in which we conduct joint operations.

Federal Consumer Information Center, Pueblo, Colorado....This one is just a bit off of the beaten path when compared to the other links I have posted, but I believe it will quickly become one of your favorite sites. Most of us would not be able to explain how the budget works, or what happens to make social security benefits get to you. This site can provide you with that information and much more. Federal programs, assistance, health, housing......the list goes on. Some publications, which they will send through the mail, will cost you a little bit, with the price going from a few cents to a few dollars, but much of the information is provided free of charge. The great thing is that even the ones they charge for have a link you can click to view them with your Internet Browser, for free..........

Washington Headquarters Services - Directives and Records Branch....Here's a source for information "straight from the horse's mouth". The site includes DOD issuances, messages, publications, etc....

United States Code...Many of our regulations are based on directives from the highest levels of government. This site puts one of those sources, the "United States Code", at your fingertips.

Increasing use of "The Army Link" has necessitated the need for me to upgrade from a "free to maintain" website, to one that now requires monthly fees to the provider. This included an upgrade of available bandwidth so that visitors to the site can continue it's use without interruption. I also reserved the domain http://www.thearmylink.com which ensures users of this site will always be able to locate it easily. The links below are to sponsors I am affiliated with in an effort to offset some of the cost. I have tried to choose those which will be of interest to visitors of this site. Rest assured, I will continue to maintain "The Army Link" for years to come. Our soldiers are always worth the time and effort!.......
