The Virtual Wall is a web site with personalized memorials to the men and women casualties of the Vietnam War. Visitors may leave photos, poems, letters, or other text as memorials to specific persons. The Virtual Wall has numerous indexes by name, unit, home town, and Wall panel, as well as a photographic index and search capability..........

Home of Heroes....If you are looking for information about Medal of Honor recipients, then you can stop looking, you found it. You'll find detailed lists, by war, including the citation. Great source of information for history buffs or for those preparing research papers. You'll also find some great links to other honors, traditions, and history. Definitely worth your time to stop in..............

The Web's Largest Heraldic Dictionary....Try reading the official description of your unit crest....... terms like "a pale interlaced", "of or and gules", an "annulet counterchanged" and more tells you ver little in plain English. Now, you can look up these terms to learn exactly what they mean. Definitely a helpful site which I personally used for the purpose of interpreting my unit's crest description..............

Civil War Family History....This website has information about many of the battles fought during the civil war, but it also has the added personal touch of including stories (and some pictures) of the individual soldiers who fought, and sometimes died, in that war..........

National World War II Memorial....The National World War II Memorial will be the first national memorial dedicated to all who served during World War II, and will honor all military veterans of the war, the citizens on the home front, the nation at large, and the high moral purpose and idealism that motivated the nation's call to arms. It will be located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. at the Rainbow Pool site at the east end of the Reflecting Pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. This prominent location is commensurate with the historical importance and lasting significance of World War II to America and the world.......

CNN.com - Korea at 50....The folks at CNN have gone to great lengths to put this site together. Here, you'll find a an in-depth look at the Korean War, as well as find out what's happening today. Most definitely a visit worth your time...........

Korean War Project....Since the Korean War, many ex-soldiers have lost contact with one another. Now, you'll find a site dedicated to helping vets locate those long lost buddies, as well as giving family members an invaluable tool in locating information. The project was shelved due to insufficient funds in 1999, but was brought back by popular demand and is maintained by contributions. Member or not, you'll find a vast archive of information. Enjoy...........

Arlington National Cemetery....Countless numbers of our departed comrades have found a final resting place at Arlington National Cemetary. How much do you really know about it? Now you can learn at the official web site..... here you can check out it's history (and maybe be a bit surprised at the list of people buried there), look at some of the photos, or maybe get some information for a visit. Enjoy the visit.........

You'll find a vast bonanza of information about women and the military, from the historical perspective to the issues currently facing and affecting women in our Armed Forces. Gettysburg Battlefield Online....Many of the courses we attend in the military require some type of research paper be written. If writing about the battles of the Civil War is your cup of tea, then this is a great place to start. Here you'll find quality photos of the Gettysburg Battlefield, as well as quality information about the details. You'll also find out about the park in case you'd like to pay a visit. Definitely a well arranged website worth a visit..........

Army Values....Don't be fooled.....Army Values are one of our time honored traditions, so this isn't new.... the method we get the word out to the troops is, though. You'll find out everything you wanted to know about the Army Values, plus view and download the electronic version of the Army Values poster and check out a video from General Reimer (you'll need RealPlayerG2 at a minimum to view the file; a link is provided if you don't have it).........

A Short History of the NCO....The U.S. Army has only one Noncommissioned Officer Museum. I have personally visited it and I can assure you that, as an NCO, we should all know what our chevrons have meant to our Army throughout it's history. If you're still in the dark about our history, then check out this site for an enlightening experience. While you're at it, click here to visit the museum itself.........

The Stars and Stripes Museum...Many of us are familiar with the newspaper "The Stars and Stripes". What you may not know is that it has been in existence since the Civil War. Now, here's a site dedicated to the preservation of 137 years of service to our country. Check it out....it's definitely a worthwhile cause.......

Kodiak, Alaska Military History....Check out the many stories and narratives of times gone by, in a variety of locations throughout Alaska. Any history buff is sure to enough what this site has to offer.......

U.S. Army Military History Institute...This site is a wealth of knowledge on military history. You will find a repository of documents in .pdf format from throughout our history. Want to read the debriefing from D-Day, how about going back to 1863 and viewing the Presidential Proclamation on AWOL (Absent Without Leave)? Interested? The Institute of Heraldry....The mission of the Institute of Heraldry is to furnish heraldic services to the armed forces and other United States government organizations, including the Executive Office of the President. The activities of the institute encompass research, design, development, standardization, quality control and other services relating to official symbolic items. The institute also provides information to the general public about official symbolic items..........

Bugle Calls sponsored by the Frederick Military Academy...I have another link to the FMA Home Page, but I recently found out that one of their "sub pages" contains information that was so interesting that it deserved a link of it's own. This web page has many bugle calls in .wav format that you can download. The author of the page even has a link at the bottom of it to download all of the .wav files in one big .zip file......download and enjoy.......

Audie Leon Murphy Home Page...Outstanding site for research and general knowledge concerning the life of a true combat hero. It includes an archive of pictures, citations, etc...

Sergeant Audie Murphy Club....From this central site, you can easily click on links to sites at 5 different locations, download the FORSCOM or TRADOC Regulations, or just learn about the history of the club and Audie Murphy himself...........

Fort Hood Sergeant Audie Murphy Club Home Page...The Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC) is recognized Army-wide as a mark of excellence for those who have earned membership. Give the site a look.........you'll find quite a bit of information as well as links to other relevant sites.........

Veterans of America Honor Guard...Honoring the sacrifices made by our Veterans is the key goal of this site. It's well worth a visit. While you're there, look at the stories and faces....it will definitely touch you....

Blackhawk Down...This link takes you to the "Index" of the gut wrenching story, "Blackhawk Down". It's as real as it gets and relates the incidents surrounding Mogadishu as related through "Philadelphia Newspapers, Inc". If reading about the ultimate sacrifice soldiers can make puts a lump in your throat, then this site will do it. Grab a cup of coffee and have a seat.....it's a rough ride........
