COUNSELING

U.S. Army Developmental Counseling Homepage....If you've ever conducted a counseling session (and I mean beginners and "old-timers" alike) then you'll appreciate what this website can do for you. This is especially true if you are responsible for the counseling and development of subordinates with different career fields. You'll first select a rank and career management field. Then, you'll select the scenario that most fits your purpose for counseling. You'll be presented with an extensive list of topics to be discussed. This site is definitely one you'll want to go back to again and again. One small note. I have found that this site is more appealing visually with Netscape Navigator, but also works well enough with Internet Explorer. If you use both versions, I suggest Navigator for this site.....Enjoy.........

NCOER Resource Page....Here's a great site for NCOER examples, guidance, links, etc..... Definitely a good place to visit if you're giving or receiving an NCOER for the first time.......

NCO-ER Quarterly Updates....If you've written even one NCO-ER, you know the difficulties which can be faced. How do I align the bullets? How many bullets can I include? Am I qualified to rate someone with the same rank as me?...... There are countless questions. The regulation can answer many of them, but your knowledge isn't complete unless you are checking out the Quarterly NCO-ER Updates. Each issue includes questions and answers, feedback from the top about performance Army-wide, and some of the more notable bullets from NCO-ER's which EREC has received. One other note, you can also get copies of MILPER messages which reference the NCO-ER by clicking here . There are many different messages, but it's worth your time to conduct the search.............

Airborne Trooper....Yep, been there.....you're writing that award, or maybe an NCOER and your editorial genius has taken a break. At this site, you'll find two programs written by the webmaster that will help you over that bump in the road. Download the NCOER Blaster or Award Blaster program and you can easily select bullets for modification to your needs........

Increasing use of "The Army Link" has necessitated the need for me to upgrade from a "free to maintain" website, to one that now requires monthly fees to the provider. This included an upgrade of available bandwidth so that visitors to the site can continue it's use without interruption. I also reserved the domain http://www.thearmylink.com which ensures users of this site will always be able to locate it easily. The links below are to sponsors I am affiliated with in an effort to offset some of the cost. I have tried to choose those which will be of interest to visitors of this site. Rest assured, I will continue to maintain "The Army Link" for years to come. Our soldiers are always worth the time and effort!.......

........One additional note about the preceding link.........An increasing number of us are making purchases on-line, many times at the risk of becoming a victim of fraud. Here's one way to combat that problem. The NextCard Internet Visa works just like a normal credit card, but there's a reason that it is keenly suited to use on the Internet. It is 100% guaranteed against Internet fraud........no exceptions, no excuses. You can make those on-line purchases with the comfort of knowing that your credit rating is safe..........

FastWeb Scholarship Search....Have you ever wished you could search a database of scholarships available across the U.S.? Now you can....... Enter your data and the engine will match your information with available scholarships. Definitely a big boost when helping your teenager get his or her start on the road to "higher education"........
